Electric parking brakeMercedes-Benz V 250 d Swiss Edition L
With a simple touch of a button, the electric parking brake effortlessly stops the vehicle from rolling away. The control button is positioned ergonomically below the light switch. A red control lamp in the instrument cluster indicates that the parking brake is engaged. The parking brake is easily released, by pulling on the button. If the vehicle is stationary and the key is taken out of the ignition lock, the parking brake is automatically engaged. It disengages automatically once the driver has fastened his/her seat belt and touched the accelerator. Pressing the button for the electric parking brake while the vehicle is in motion will trigger the emergency braking function. That means the vehicle will brake for as long as the button is pressed down. During emergency braking a warning signal sounds, the red indicator lamp flashes in the instrument cluster and a warning message "release parking brake" lights up in the display.
